What are my options when loading checklist items?

I know that I can load checklist items by using Copy/Paste. Can I fill in additional information as well?

I am looking to be able to provide the weighting. If the assigned user and deadline could also be set at that time, even better.

To date, copy/pasting into a checklist allows you to quickly create a list of items (one line = one item). However, you cannot “import” additional information at the same time such as weighting, the owner/assignee, or the due date via pasting.

:backhand_index_pointing_right: What this means in practice:

  • :white_check_mark: OK: pasting a list of item labels

  • :cross_mark: Not yet: pasting “label + weight + owner + deadline” all at once

From a product perspective, this need aligns with a frequent request: having checklist / milestone templates with default values (weighting, assignment, deadlines, etc.). This is a topic currently under study.
